Criminal and traffic records go back to November 1999. Civil records start from May 2006. You can search by case number, party name, or date range.

Court records tie into booking releases because they show what happened after the arrest. Did the charges stick? Was the case dismissed? What was the sentence? Tennessee Law on Booking Releases

Booking releases in Montgomery County are public records. You do not need to give a reason to ask for them. The Tennessee Public Records Act makes this clear. Any person can inspect government records during business hours at no charge. If you want copies, reasonable fees apply.

There are limits. Expunged records are off limits. Under T.C.A. § 40-32-101, someone who had charges dismissed or was found not guilty can petition to have the booking release removed from public view. Once a court grants that, Montgomery County must treat the record as if it does not exist.
